Ducati est en mesure d’égaler l’un de ses records au TT Circuit Assen, ce week-end : celui de son nombre de podiums d’affilée. La marque italienne en avait aligné 17 entre les Grands Prix de Turquie 2007 et du Qatar 2008, à l’époque où Casey Stoner dominait la planète moto. L’Australien en avait obtenu une bonne partie, et les autres avaient été décrochés par Loris Capirossi et Alex Barros. Quatorze ans plus tard, l’histoire a des chances de se répéter.
Avec Johann Zarco (2e) et Jack Miller (3e) sur la boîte du Grand Prix d’Allemagne, dimanche dernier, Ducati a en effet signé son 16ème podium d’affilée depuis le premier, en Aragon, en septembre 2021. La dernière épreuve sans trophée pour une moto sortie de l’usine de Borgo Panigale remonte au 29 août 2021, à Silverstone, en Grande-Bretagne. Une Desmosedici dans le top-3 aux Pays-Bas, ce dimanche, et la performance de 17 sera égalée. Ce serait aussi le premier podium de Ducati au TT Circuit Assen depuis 2017.
Le record du nombre de podiums sur l’ensemble d’une saison pourrait aussi être repoussé dans les prochains mois. Les Ducatistes en avaient obtenu 24 en 2021, et ils en sont à 14 à la mi-championnat. Dans le détail, il y en a eu quatre pour Johann Zarco, trois pour Enea Bastianini, autant pour Jack Miller, plus deux pour Francesco Bagnaia et Jorge Martin.
