Pedro Acosta est forfait pour le Grand Prix des Pays-Bas, au TT Circuit Assen, ce week-end. Le champion du monde Moto3 2021 a été victime d’une fracture du fémur gauche ce mardi, à la suite d’une chute survenue lors d’un entraînement en motocross. Transporté à Barcelone, il se fera opérer ce mercredi à la Clinique Dexeus.
La fracture n’aurait pas été suivie de complications, ce qui permet d’être relativement optimiste quant au temps de rétablissement du pilote Red Bull KTM Ajo. Le prochain Grand Prix auquel il pourrait participer, celui de Grande-Bretagne, à Silverstone aura lieu le week-end du 7 août. Cela lui laisse six semaines pour récupérer.
Vainqueur au Mugello (Italie), fin mai, Pedro Acosta a décroché son deuxième podium en Moto2 dimanche dernier, au Sachsenring (Allemagne). Son forfait à Assen sera le premier de sa carrière en championnat du monde, débutée en mars 2021.
